About Me

I was born in Poughkeepsie, NY, the second of three daughters in a multi generational IBM family. My family relocated to Lexington, Kentucky in 1966. Lexington is known for being the “Horse Capital of the World”. As a child, I spent many hours at a local horse farm drawing horses. One warm summer morning the man who owned the horse farm noticed me and asked to see my drawings. After a short conversation, he commissioned me to draw two of his horses.

In 1975 I was featured in The Lexington Leader newspaper because I was commissioned by an instructor to do drawings for a class relating to the dress styles from the American Revolution. These drawings became part of the Betty B. Eastin Historical Collection in the College of Home Economics.

After graduating for the University of Kentucky, I got married. Soon after, IBM hired my husband, and we moved to Austin, Texas. While living in Austin, I became a cost estimator for Doyle Wilson Homes, custom homebuilder. Working for Doyle Wilson was a great experience because it opened my eyes to the many details that determine a home’s value.

I have ten years of experience dealing with the financial aspects of real estate, including being a mortgage broker, loan originator and loan processor. I also worked as a graphic marketing specialist for an environmental engineering company in South Carolina. Finally, again as a graphic marketing specialist, I enhanced the professional image of a major mortgage lender in Georgia, in addition to bolstering their closings..

I presently live in Brooksville, Florida and am owner and founder of REVA Marketing Pro.
